VERY IN-DEPTH STORY SUMMARY:
Mandy, a friendly witch who is in charge of the souls of the dead, lives in the local town graveyard, a safe haven for the ghosts and skeletons of people who’ve passed. Another witch, Vivian, shows up to the graveyard with the intent of taking it over and converting it into a garden. After Vivian uses her magical powers to plant a flower in the ground, spreading life into the graveyard, Mandy uses her powers over the dead to make the flower wilt and die, making the graveyard once again 100% life free. Everything seems fine and dandy for the paranormal residents of the graveyard, until the very next day. Mandy wakes up the next morning to discover a bunch of angry looking trees and plants around the graveyard. She realizes that Vivian planted these here and this conflict is just beginning. Mandy tries to stop the spread of life in the graveyard using her powers over the dead, but Vivian keeps stopping her. The spread of life is getting wider and wider and the grass is getting cleaner and greener and the ghosts and skeletons are starting to move out of the graveyard. Then Vivian drops a bomb that looks like a giant acorn that explodes and turns the entire graveyard into a garden with life everywhere- greener grass, bright blue sky, trees, bushes, flowers, no ghosts or graves. Mandy is, of course, devastated. The graveyard is now entirely a garden. No ghosts. No skeletons. No cloudy sky or crabgrass or tombstones. After her home is transformed entirely into a garden, Mandy is desperate to get rid of Vivian, so she goes to the back of the property where there is a shed that is reserved for emergencies. Inside is a secret weapon in case someone like Vivian tries to take over. The weapon is a robot that looks like a big skull. When Mandy in the robot clashes with Vivian they end up destroying the entire property, leading to it becoming a giant crater. Mandy and Vivian realize their petty fighting caused neither of them to have the property they wanted so badly, and acknowledge their mistake. Instead of simply returning to the familiar world after the conflict, Mandy and Vivian turn the property into a graveyard AND a garden, showing they can coexist together. So instead of returning to the familiar world, they’re in a world that is a mix of familiar and unknown- it’s a combination, because the two witches learned to coexist.
